Block 8 Revisited! - Sue

I decided the whole block was too light in colour, so I undid the outer border and remade it. I think it looks alot better.

I enjoyed this one, as it was easy. The main thing for me is to get the colours right. I have so many Civil War style fabrics, but have to make sure the blocks are going to go together. I may have to remake block 1 and 2??

I looks a little crooked on the outer corners but it will be fine when its sewn in the quilt. I should have starched the block before scanning!

Lovely blocks Sue, your fabric selection is just wonderful. I'm so glad I'm not the only one revisiting and remaking my blocks. This is a labour of love!

I like your newer block 8 very much. I am unnerved looking at it in the Book. However, looking at your finished block makes it more 'do-able' to me if you know what I mean.
