Block 80 - Tazzie

Here is my block 80. The middle of the block had me quite puzzled for a while, as the pattern in the book bears no resemblance to the block that the author made, or to the block in the original quilt. In the end, I just made up a checkerboard using 1" strips and cut it down on the cross to a 4" piece, and then added the border sections. Probably not the most accurate way to put it together, but I'm happy with it anyway. And very happy also to get one of the tricky ones checked off the list!

So I want to thank you all for your inspiration. After reading and drooling over your beautiful blocks I went up to the sewing room amd finished up block 18. So I'm done or so I thought seems I missed block 56. But worked on the border and finished up in the afternoon. I am really done. Enjoy the journey ladies. This may have been my favourite quilt made to date and I would consider doing it all again thats how much I love it.

HI Girls, I have made this quilt. It was a beauty and I loved it all - except for 2 blocks, one of them being 44. A couple of years ago Kilmore Quilters had a group which made the Nearly Insane quilt - we had them hung in Jeffs Shed (VQ Showcase) back in 2008 and then at the Kilmore Show in 2009. I wish you all the very best with your Salinda Rupp Quilt Journey - and enjoy it, life is a little lonely when you have completed the quilt! :) Hugs, Andrea
